Gratitude Dinner

On the heels of a great weekend at the ORC, we wanted to keep the spirits high and let you know about the next great event on the calendar.
As many of you know, The Gratitude Round Up is an annual AA convention geared towards members of the LGBT community, hosted by the community and it's friends. Each year the Round Up offers a safe haven for community members from as far as Florida and even Scotland to meet and share fellowship, understanding and experiences that are unique to the community. The Gratitude Committee endeavors every year to keep the cost of attendance as low as possible in hope of keeping conference attendance within the reach of as many people as possible. This is done through the generous support of many AA groups and individuals who donate to the event, as well as several Fundraising Events held throughout the year. The cost of attending last year's Round Up was subsidized almost 65% by these funds.
One yearly event that always sells out is the Gratitude Dinner. A fellow member, Don S generously donates his time, talent and food to put together an amazing meal for an evening of great food, good fellowship and speakers. This year's dinner is themed with the World Conference this year in mind - "Steps to San Antonio". The menu is South West cuisine, with everything from Antonijotis to Texas Paella, and promises to fill you to contentment. Here are the details of this great event:

Time: Doors open at 6:00pm, Dinner at 7:00pm
Where: Great Hall, St Andrew's United Church

Cost: $35 per person
The evening includes more food that you can eat right up to scrumptious dessert and coffee, an AA and an Al-anon speaker, door prizes, a 50/50 draw, and excellent fellowship.
